SALT LAKE CITY, UT (November 5) – Podango (http://www.podango.com), the online video and audio network that enables publishers and advertisers to “get heard” by today’s hard-to-reach, niche audiences, is now fully integrated with WordPress and PodPress, giving tens of thousands of bloggers a free hosting platform for podcasts. Podango’s integration with WordPress and PodPress lets bloggers manage their own, independent audio and video shows using the company’s hosting, syndication, audience measurement and Web site creation tools. Lee Gibbons, Podango’s CEO, said, “WordPress bloggers can host audio and video shows on the Podango Network and also enjoy unlimited access to industry-leading tools for managing podcasts, automating show assembly and integrating advertising through a revenue share with Podango. Also, bloggers with popular shows can join Podango-hosted stations and get additional assistance with marketing and sponsorships.” Podango continues to add new features to its hosting platform for bloggers such as an embeddable podcast player for use in featuring and sharing podcasts. Podango is also integrating Kiptronic’s dynamic ad insertion, campaign management and measurement software to its P2 hosting platform. This will let bloggers dynamically schedule, insert and track pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll audio and video advertisements in podcasts. In September, Podango acquired the GigaVox Audio Lite technology from GigaVox Media. Podango is incorporating GigaVox features and capabilities into its P2 podcasting platform, enabling publishers to automate component show assembly and improve post-production management. Podango publishers will be able to organize show segments, swap out segments from previously released shows and reuse segments (intros, credits, etc.) in future programs with the click of a mouse.
Gibbons added, “Bloggers migrating from the written word to the inclusion of audio and video content will enjoy free hosting plus the power and flexibility of these industry-leading tools. We look forward to working closely and partnering with WordPress bloggers and PodPress users as the new media revolution continues to unfold.” Podango is also sponsoring the first annual BlogWorld & New Media Expo (Booth 129) from November 7 - 9, 2007 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (South Hall).
