Google celebrates holidays and generally infuse fun into their work. Holidays are especially fun, and this year Google showed some Valentine's Day love. It started with the Google logo. It showed an old couple in lockstep and the old woman had a handful of heart-shaped balloons. Then the Google Earth team looked the world over to find satellite images of landforms that are shaped like hearts. Then there was a pink makeover on Google Docs.

A few months ago, Google employees got curious - and that usually means a new product. In this case, the result was a national about how we use email to express love. They worked with Neilsen Online to find out more. They learned that one in three people have emailed a love letter. And a little less romantic -- 69% percent of 18-24 year olds think approve of using email to ask someone out on a date.
