Google has been working closely with Salesforce.com for several years fueling rumors that Google might eventually buy the company. Salesforce is selling Google's e-mail and Google Apps like word processing, spreadsheets and instant messaging. They also plan to sell customer support services. The two companies have worked together for several years, in an effort to get more businesses to use online software. Rather than employing people to sell their products, Google partners with companies like Salesforce, who already sell to their target market. Salesforce has annual sales of $749 million, and a market value of more than $7 billion. Last year, Google made less than $200 million from licensing their software.

Google is doing more to crack down on child porn on the web. To accomplish this they have built custom search technology in partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. With the technology they will be able to identify illegal images of children.
