Advanced SEO Tips

The most successful webmasters know that search engine optimization (SEO) is a marathon not a sprint. But if you are new to optimizing your site and want some guidance now, the good news is that there are several advanced SEO tips that can be implemented right away.

A little bit of work will pay off in the long run. But before we get started with these advanced SEO tips, it's important to understand how search engines like Google rank websites. The basic idea behind ranking is that the higher you are in the rankings, the more likely you are to show up at the top of a user's search results. And the more relevant your content is to their query, the better.

There are two ways to optimize your website for search engines: on-page optimization, and off-page optimization. On-page optimization focuses on making sure your content is as relevant as possible by using keywords that people would search for when looking for information about your industry. Off-page optimization involves other factors such as building links from high-ranking sites or getting featured snippets. Both types of optimization should be done regularly, but there are also many advanced SEO tips that you can implement to take your site further.

Focus on User Experience. Overhaul Your "Almost" First Page Posts. Tap the Potential of Videos. Rank for Featured Snippets. Create Comprehensive, Authoritative, Evergreen Content. Maximize User Engagement. Optimize for Voice Search. Focus on Mobile-First Indexing.

1. Make Sure Your Site Is Easy To Navigate

Your users will spend less time on your site if they have to click too often to go to specific pages. One way to make sure this doesn't happen is to make sure your site has an easy-to-use navigation bar. If someone has to scroll down the page to find what they're looking for, they may leave your site immediately.

2. Know What You Want Visitors To Do Before They Click

When you design your homepage, think about what your visitors will do after they arrive. Will they read your blog posts? Or maybe they just want to learn more about your company.

3. Have Fun With Your Graphics

It seems obvious, but adding fun graphics to your site can really help boost conversions. People are drawn to pictures and videos, so use them strategically to engage users and bring them back again and again.

4. Include Calls To Action In Every Post

Call to action buttons should be included in every post on your site. These include things like contact forms, subscription boxes, purchase buttons, etc. These buttons are used to direct traffic back to certain pages on your site where they can complete the desired action.

5. Keep A Healthy Balance Between Text & Images

Images are helpful because they provide context and add personality to your content. Use images sparingly, however, because they can slow loading times. Also don't overdo it with text; the point of having a lot of text on a page is to give searchers additional information beyond what they find in the image itself.

6. Be Consistent In Your Typography

Be consistent throughout your site. Don't mix fonts in different parts of your site, and avoid using any fancy typography that might confuse readers.

7. Avoid Plagiarism & Spam

Plagiarism refers to copying large chunks of content without proper attribution. It's generally frowned upon, and can result in penalties from search engines, which could hurt your rankings. Spam refers to sending out unsolicited email messages, usually to promote products or services. This can cause problems for both consumers and businesses, as well as negatively affect your search rankings.

8. Provide Valuable Information That People Are Looking For

People love to share information, especially on social media. So it makes sense to make your content useful by providing value. When you write articles, focus on telling stories rather than giving statistics, for example. Think about who you're writing for and what your audience wants to hear.

9. Put Your Contact Info In Your Links

If someone clicks on one of your links and lands on another part of your site that has no contact info, they'll probably leave your site. Add your phone number or email address to all links on your site, and encourage your readers to do the same.

10. Build Backlinks To Improve Rankings

Backlinks are links pointing back to your site from other high-ranking websites. You can build links manually, or pay for link building services. Backlinks can improve your search rankings significantly, so it's worth investing time into finding ways to acquire them.

11. Include Social Media Buttons Throughout Your Site

Social media is a great way to connect with your customers. By including social sharing buttons on your site, you can allow your readers to easily share your content with friends.

12. Get Featured on Blogs & Newsletters

SEM Marketing Hiring Tips from SEO Kingpins

It's not enough to simply hire a marketing firm. The results you're looking for will be achieved by doing what you do best; that is, running your business. That means hiring a marketing firm to help you get the word out about your products and services. But there are some things you need to know before you start making those calls.

The first thing you should understand is that when it comes to marketing, you shouldn't have to pay more than you can afford. You want to make sure that you don't end up with an expensive firm that doesn't deliver on their promises. It's important to remember that marketing firms are in business to make money just like you are. So if they can't make money, then they won't continue to work for you.

It's also important to realize that most marketing firms are not going to give you great advice on how to market your own business. Instead, they'll tell you what they think will work based on their own experience. So while they may sound good, take everything they say with a grain of salt. When you're working with a professional company, you should always talk directly with the person who is actually doing the work. Find out exactly what he or she has done in the past. Ask them specific questions about their clients' experiences. And see if you can find other examples of similar campaigns. This kind of information is invaluable because it tells you specifically what worked and what didn't.

In addition to talking to the people who created the campaign, it's important to look at the statistics that were collected during the project. Take note of any changes that occurred in sales and customer satisfaction scores during the time period covered by the report. Did sales increase? If so, did the customers become happier as well? These are all valuable clues that will help you determine whether the campaign was successful.

You should also ask prospective companies the following questions:

- How long have you been in business?

- What percentage of your revenue comes from repeat business?

- Are your employees satisfied with their jobs?

- Do your clients enjoy working with you?

- Do you provide training programs for new hires?

- Do you offer incentives for referrals?

- Have you ever had problems with your clients?

If the answer to one or more of these questions isn't positive, this could be a sign that the company is not right for you. The last thing you want is to hire someone who isn't doing a good job. This is something you don't want to discover after you've paid thousands of dollars.

Before you decide which company to hire, make sure you read each prospect's testimonials carefully. It's possible that even though the people who wrote the reviews really liked what the company did, another client might have a different experience. In other words, it's possible that a bad review could simply reflect an individual's personal taste rather than a true reflection of what the company does. So you want to make sure that you aren't paying for the praises of a few people who just happened to happen to write glowing reviews.

When you're looking for a company to help you market your business, be sure to check out online directories such as These sites allow you to search for potential candidates without having to go through dozens of pages of print ads. They list both small and large businesses, so you're likely to find the right candidate no matter how big or small your business happens to be.

As you begin to consider hiring a marketing firm, keep the tips above in mind. These are important factors that will influence your decision. But ultimately, the only way you'll know if you made the right choice is if you try it yourself. After all, you're the one who will be using their services. So why would you risk throwing away money without trying it out? There's nothing worse than spending a lot of money but never seeing a return. So get started today!

What are the benefits of hiring an SEM marketing firm?

One of the main reasons you should choose an SEO firm over your competitors is that they specialize in Search Engine Marketing (SEM). As opposed to advertising through print media, television, radio, etc., SEM marketing involves getting your name or brand seen on Google, Yahoo!, Bing, and other popular search engines.

The advantage of this is that you are able to reach a much larger audience than you would if you advertised through traditional channels. A SEM marketing firm will use various techniques to drive traffic to your website, including social bookmarking, article submission, press releases, blog commenting, forum posting, and more.

But how will you know if you picked the right company? Here are five ways that you can tell.

1) Does the firm have a solid reputation in its field? If the company hasn't worked with other clients in the past, it's probably not worth hiring. Make sure that their clients are happy.

2) Is the firm familiar with your industry? If you sell widgets, then perhaps you'd be better off hiring a widget manufacturer than an ad agency. You want to ensure that your firm knows exactly what you're selling and where your customers can buy it.

3) Are they experts in their field? If they're not, then they may not be the right fit for you.

4) Is the firm willing to invest in your success? Some firms charge high fees because they believe that if they spend $10,000 on your marketing campaign, they deserve to earn $100,000. Others are realistic and recognize that a certain amount of investment needs to be put forth in order to achieve results.

5) Does the firm have experience? If the company has been around for 10 years and you're just starting out, it's probably best to hire someone else.

Hopefully these tips will help you make the right decision when choosing a good SEM marketing firm. If you already know which firm you want to hire, however, you can skip ahead to the next chapter and focus on finding the right person to fill your position.

Best Search Engine Optimization Tips

Do you want to be on the first page of Google? If so, there are some things that you can do to make your website more visible. To get people to click on your site and learn about your products or services requires a little bit of work from you. It is not something that can be accomplished overnight. A few years ago we were all just starting out with websites. Then came Google and all of its search engines. The number one search engine in the world is Google. When someone searches for information they go to Google directly. What does this mean to you? Your business needs to become known online.

Search Engine Optimization Tips

You need to optimize your website. This means making your website as appealing as possible to those who will visit it. There are many ways to optimize your website. The following are some that I have come across over time. Keep in mind that there are other methods that may be better than what I am going to discuss here. However, these are the ones that I use and recommend. You should consider them when looking into optimizing your website.

1. Make sure that you use descriptive text on your website. In order to understand what your website is about you need to know what it says. Use keywords in place of words you don't really care about. For example, if your website sells hats, you might write "Hats of all kinds." This makes no sense but it shows up on Google's search results pages. It is important to mention your product because there are always competitors out there. People will see your web address and think "I wonder what they sell?" They will then look at your website to find out.

2. Give your website a title tag. This is the part of the code that appears at the top of every page on your website. Search engines use this information to determine the content on each page. In addition, it tells visitors what your website is about. This is why you must use descriptive text on your website.

3. Do keyword research before putting together your website. Look at your competitor's sites and how they have done their optimization. If they have used SEO techniques (search engine optimization) then you might want to try those same techniques yourself. You can often get free tools to help you in this area.

4. Use H1 & H2 tags on your website. These tags are called heading tags. They appear above your main text and below your sub-headings. They are meant to grab the attention of readers.

Search Engine Optimization Tips

5. Add a sitemap to your website. A sitemap is an index of your entire website. It helps search engines navigate through your site.

6. Include social media buttons on your website. This will allow people to share your website on their Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest accounts.

7. Create a blog. Having a blog allows you to post interesting articles about your company. This way people can learn more about your business.

8. Place links throughout your website. Links are also called hyperlinks. They are found on any webpage and allow users to jump off the page to another website. They are most often found on blogs or news sites.

9. Include a contact form on your website. Visitors can enter their name and email address and ask questions about your products or services.

10. Create a call to action button. This is where you tell visitors what they can do next.

11. Write meta descriptions on each page. This lets Google know what is contained within your website.

12. Include social sharing buttons on your website. Share buttons allow people to share your website via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.

13. Add a photo gallery. People like pictures. They are fun to look at and they show off your products and/or services.

14. Update your website regularly. Make sure that new content gets added to your website frequently.

15. Have a mailing list signup box where visitors can opt in to receive emails from you.

16. Ask visitors to subscribe to your RSS feed.

17. Comment on relevant forums and blogs. Doing this will give you exposure to a large amount of people.

18. Post comments on other websites with similar content.

19. Link to relevant content from other websites.

20. Make sure your website loads quickly.

21. Don't overload your website with images.

22. Don't use too many colors.

23. Don't use flash on your website unless you are using it to display pictures of your products. Flash is often ignored by browsers.

24. Don't use pop-ups or pop-unders.

25. Be consistent. All of your content should contain the same information.

26. Provide helpful content.

27. Offer incentives for people to share your link.

28. Promote videos on YouTube and Vimeo.

29. Add a chat widget.

30. Answer questions asked by people on your website.

31. Offer giveaways.

32. Encourage people to follow you on social media.

33. Create a newsletter.

34. Use analytics software. This allows you to track visitor activity on your website. It also allows you to monitor which pages are getting the most traffic.

How to Make a Website

If you want to make money online, there are many things you need to learn in order to get started. If you have already decided that you want to start your own website and begin making money online, you will probably be interested in learning more about how to make a website.

How to Make a Website

There are many ways of starting a business online and one of the simplest is to make a website. There is nothing complicated about it. You can do it yourself or hire someone else to do it for you.

It's important to understand that there are different types of websites. A lot of people think they know what a website is but really don't.

A website is an electronic version of a store front where customers can buy items from you. The customer can enter your website by using a URL (uniform resource locator). This is just a word that tells computers how to find your site on the Internet. Once the customer enters your website, he has to find something interesting enough to spend his time looking at. Once he finds something he wants to purchase, he uses another URL which takes him back to your website so that he can complete the transaction.

The easiest way to tell if you have a good website design is if your visitors like it and come back often. If they keep coming back, then you have a success!

You may also see some people saying they want to create their own blog. What this means is that they want to create a web page with their own content. They can add text, pictures, videos and links to other sites. These pages are called blogs. In order to create a blog, you would use a software program such as or Blogger. You simply type your words into a box and hit "publish". Then anyone who visits your blog can read it!

Many people say that having their own web space is a great idea because they can control every aspect of their own website. But, if you're going to create your own website, you should first consider whether you actually need to own your own domain name. It's not necessary to have your own domain name unless you plan on hosting your website somewhere else than your home computer. That's why I recommend getting a website hosted by Google or Yahoo before paying for your own domain name.

Once you decide to host your site elsewhere, you'll need to choose a service provider. This company will provide you with a place where you can upload files and store content. When you sign up for a service provider, you usually pay them a monthly fee for access to their server. Some companies charge per month while others charge per hour.

When you register for a service provider, you'll receive an e-mail address that you can use when you want to send out an email message. You can also set up your own domain name through your service provider. You'll need to contact them to change your address after you've signed up.

How to Make a Website

After you decide on your website design, you'll need to decide on what content you want to put on your site. You can put a few things on your site including text, images, videos, articles, etc. In addition to providing information, you can also sell products on your site. You can set up a simple shop on your site that sells products directly from your website. Or, you can let people go to your site and click "Buy Now" on each product so that you make sales through your website.

Your website doesn't have to be only about selling products. You could include a blog where you talk about things related to your field of expertise. For example, if you were a teacher, you could write a blog about teaching concepts. You could even include a forum or bulletin board where you discuss topics that interest your readers. This will help build your credibility as an expert and give you exposure among potential clients.

If you have trouble deciding what kind of website you want, you may want to check out some sample websites online. You can find these samples by searching Google for "[websites] [sample]. For example, if you wanted to learn more about creating a website for your own personal use, you could search Google for "free web templates". You might also try searching for free sample websites.

One final note about starting your own website. Don't waste time trying to make a website that looks exactly like every other website out there. Your website needs to stand out and look unique from all the other sites out there. A lot of people think that it looks bad if your website is different from everyone else's. But if you have something unique to offer, people will notice that and visit your site. And the more people who visit your site, the more likely it is that you'll convert those visitors into customers.

So now that you know how to make a website, you can get busy building yours!

Best Website Builders

When you are looking for a website builder, it's important to know what features and options that the top site builders offer. We have put together this list of best web design tools so that you can find your perfect fit quickly.

1) Wix ( Wix is one of the most popular website building platforms on the market today with over 10 million users worldwide. The interface is very simple but powerful at the same time. You will be able to create professional websites in minutes without any technical knowledge or experience. With its drag-and-drop feature, you can build a fully functional online presence within just seconds. There are no limitations when designing pages using this tool as well because all elements such as images, text boxes, colors, etc., can be easily changed from the back end. If you want an easy way to make changes later on down the road, then Wix is definitely worth checking out. It offers free domain hosting during their sign up period which lasts 30 days. Afterward, you must pay $10 per year after which they start charging monthly fees. But if you choose not to host your own site, there are plenty of other services offered by them like email accounts, shopping carts, eCommerce solutions, social media integration, SEO optimization, analytics support, and mobile apps among many others. A word of caution though; do yourself a favor and don't use this platform if you're planning on creating a business website since you won't get any customer credit card information required for processing payments through PayPal or Stripe. Also note that the service doesn't come cheap either. For example, basic plans range anywhere between $9-$29 depending on how much content you need built into your website. Premium subscriptions cost about twice as much. However, if you really want to take advantage of all the great benefits and resources available to you, we suggest going ahead and getting started.

2) Squarespace ( Squarespace is basically another name for WordPress. What sets Squarespace apart from WP is that it allows anyone who has never created a blog before to set up a beautiful website without having to understand HTML coding. This means that even novice bloggers can now publish articles, blogs, portfolio sites, newsletters, landing pages, photo galleries, podcasts, video channels and more. They also provide templates, themes, plugins & widgets, fonts, graphics, icons, logos, animation, music, videos, slideshows, audio recordings, polls, surveys, quizzes, animations, social sharing buttons, forms, maps, PDFs, RSS feeds, and more. All these things combined allow users to create everything from personal portfolios to corporate brands. And unlike some other competitors out there, Squarespace does not require you to purchase premium packages. Instead, you only need to decide whether to go with Basic, Standard, Professional or Business plan. Once you click "Get Started" button, you'll automatically receive a 14 day free trial. Then you simply log in and begin working!

3) GoDaddy Web Design ( One of the largest names in domain registration, Godaddy provides a wide variety of web development services including unlimited domains, SSL certificates, dedicated servers, cloud storage space, 24/7 phone assistance, and advanced security software. In addition to that, they offer several different products ranging from shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS hosting, cPanel hosting, DreamHost Hosting, Managed Dedicated Servers, Cloud Solutions, Domain Name Registration, CDN Services, Email Service, and Site Builder Tools. The company was founded in 1994 and continues to grow every single month due to the fact that people keep coming back for more. That being said, there are still thousands upon thousands of satisfied customers around the world who recommend them highly. So if you ever wanted to launch your own online store, why not consider GoDaddy? Their prices aren't too bad either considering that each package comes complete with multiple domain registrations, subdomains, custom FTP access, email addresses, unlimited bandwidth, daily backups, SSL Certificates, and the ability to install applications via Cpanel. Just remember to check out our article entitled How To Register Domains On GoDaddy first since registering a domain isn't exactly straightforward process.

4) Shopify ( Founded in 2006, Shopify is perhaps the easiest solution for small businesses who wish to sell physical goods online. As opposed to selling digital downloads, Shopify lets you promote your product directly to consumers while allowing you to maintain full control of pricing and inventory management. As far as customization goes, you can customize almost anything imaginable right from the backend. The user interface is extremely appealing and clean making navigation super easy. Plus, Shopify supports both English and Spanish language versions of their app. Another thing I liked about this platform is that you can add additional modules to extend functionality. These include shipping tracking, payment gateways, marketing automation, affiliate programs, coupons, reviews, ratings, forums, live chat, and more. Overall, this is probably the best option if you'd rather focus less on tech stuff and instead let someone else handle the heavy lifting for you.

5) SquareSpace ( Similar to Squarespace above, SquareSpace helps nontechnical individuals build stunning websites for free. Unlike Squarespace which requires users to register prior to launching a new account, SquareSpace works straight away once you enter the URL address where you want to place your page. It is pretty convenient especially if you are already familiar with Wordpress. The difference here however is that SquareSpace gives you total freedom to change virtually everything including color schemes, font styles, background designs, headers, footer layouts, menus, sidebars, columns, etc. Everything is completely editable so feel free to experiment until you find something you love. And if you're thinking about upgrading to paid subscription model, you might wanna try the Starter Package which costs $8 per month. Other than that, I would say that SquareSpace is fairly reliable although it sometimes takes longer to load certain parts of your website compared to other platforms listed here. Nevertheless, it makes up for that minor drawback thanks to its incredible ease of use.

6) Bigcommerce ( Built exclusively for merchants who wish to sell tangible items online, Bigcommerce offers hundreds of customizable features along with a massive selection of readymade templates. Not only that, but Big Commerce includes a bunch of useful tools designed specifically for retail stores. Among those are order fulfillment, return policies, tax calculations, promotional codes, coupon discounts, gift cards, and more. Additionally, you can integrate various third party systems such as Facebook, Google Analytics, MailChimp, Paypal, Twitter, YouTube, and WooCommerce. Lastly, you can always opt to work with a freelancer designer should you run into issues with this particular platform. Although the price tag may seem high initially, you can expect to save money overall by doing so since you can avoid paying expensive commissions charged by designers.

7) Wix ( Like mentioned earlier, Wix is known for offering a unique blend of simplicity and power packed features. Its visual editor makes it incredibly easy to create attractive websites. Moreover, you can import photos, videos, documents, presentations and spreadsheets directly onto your webpage saving tons of valuable time. Furthermore, you can incorporate external links, embed interactive content, upload files, insert code snippets, and manage CSS properties in realtime. In terms of flexibility, you can customize nearly everything including layout, header image, menu bar, color scheme, logo, footer, sidebar, widget areas, and much more. Lastly, Wix integrates seamlessly with a number of 3rd party APIs including Amazon S3, Dropbox, Evernote, Flickr, Github, Instagram, Pinterest, SoundCloud, Tumblr, Twilio SMS, Typekit Font Library, UserVoice Forums, YouTube, Vine, Yahoo Answers, Yelp, and Zendesk Chatroom.

So, hopefully these 7 Best Website Builders will help guide you toward finding a suitable web design tool for running your next project. Good luck!

Advanced SEO Tips

The most successful webmasters know that search engine optimization (SEO) is a marathon not a sprint. But if you are new to optimizing you...
